Snow Ice Cream

So, we recently had a cold front move through which dropped a few inches of snow. The kids were thrilled and played in it most of the weekend. What is better than playing in the snow and building snowmen??? Eating the snow!! But, not until you add a couple other ingredients and make it taste like homemade ice cream!

Now, the fluffier the snow, the better.

Also, a very important point is that you use FRESH, CLEAN snow! It is so easy and tastes so good! All you have to do is mix some sugar and milk. I use regular sugar and 2% milk, but you could use half and half, whole milk, maybe even Almond milk. I’ll have to try that next time!

Ingredients:

1 cup milk

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 pinch salt

8 cups of CLEAN snow

Optional toppings: sprinkles, chocolate chips, syrups, peanuts, etc. etc. etc.!!!

Instructions:

After you mix the sugar and milk, get clean snow and mix in. Serve immediately.

The other day, the kids were playing and about to come in. It was before dinner, so I yelled “Get the ice cream!” Then, I stuck it in the freezer until after dinner. It still tasted great. The next day, it had a freezer taste to it, so I think it’s best the same day. But, in all honestly I didn’t cover the container so it may work if you use Tupperware.

Happy Desserts! (This isn’t really cooking, is it?) 😊
